Creating Pre-Order Listings

If you're unsure about how much inventory to order for a new product, pre-orders can help you gauge interest and make more informed decisions!


With pre-orders, your members can reserve items before they become available for sale, but they won't be charged until you're ready to collect payment. This means no payment will be collected during the checkout process.


Get started with pre-orders

  1. Head to the Merchandise page
  2. Select Store Listings from the left menu
  3. Click on the Create New Listing button > Create Pre-Order Listing and fill out the details about your listing.
  4. Hit the Publish button and start gauging interest for your listing!
  5. If your item gauges enough interest and you're ready to start collecting payment for pre-orders, simply email support@hellorubric.com. We'll change your listing from pre-order to order and notify your customers via email that payment is being collected. This way, you can focus on preparing your inventory and fulfilling orders while we take care of the payment process.
