Segmenting your voters into specific groups can help tailor the voting experience and ensure that only the right people vote on the right positions. Here’s how to create and manage voter groups:
Segmenting voters:
- During the election setup, you can create predefined voter groups. These groups can then be assigned to specific ballot questions, limiting visibility to only those eligible to vote on certain positions.
Adding voters to groups:
- After adding voters, you can include them in voter groups by selecting "Edit" on the corresponding row in the voter table and marking the appropriate groups. This allows you to organize voters based on the roles or categories they belong to.
- If you're importing voters in bulk, you can assign them to groups by including a "yes" in the relevant voter group column in the CSV file.
Restricting ballot questions to groups:
- Once your voter groups are set, you can restrict specific ballot questions to certain groups. For instance, you might want only undergraduates to vote for the President position. To do this, go to your ballot, click on the relevant ballot question, and select the appropriate voter groups from the right-hand panel.
